We like the cold on the farm but days like today are a bit much. When it's windy like this we move the animals to a sheltered place on the farm. Hedgerows and forest patches provide windbreaks that keeps the cows comfortable. We are lucky to have plenty of wooded spots on the farm. We also make sure that each group of animals has lots of good feed and plenty of bedding to lay on.

This year's calves have settled into their new group post-weaning. This week we ran them through the corral and had a nice photo op in the bud box.
